Riverbrook is staffed by knowledgeable and caring professionals who are
sensitive to the needs of you and your pet. As pet owners themselves,
each staff member values the importance of pets as family members and
is eager to assist you with any questions you may have about your pet's
health.
At Riverbrook, we believe getting to know your pet personally is very
important.

Dr. Robin Johnson
A passion for animals and an abiding interest in the natural world have
directed Dr. Robin Johnson's life from childhood. In high school, as an
aide in a veterinarian's office, then as a student at OSU Veterinary School
and, finally, as the founder of Riverbrook Animal Hospital, Dr. Johnson
focuses her considerable energies on maintaining the health and happiness
of the community's pet population.
After receiving her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from OSU, Dr. Johnson
began her career at an emergency veterinary clinic in Tucson, Arizona.
Concerned by the lack of such a facility in her hometown, Dr. Johnson
returned to Tulsa to help establish the first emergency veterinary hospital
in the area. She became a founding member of Tulsa's Animal Emergency
Center and managed the facility until the mid-nineties.
Her strong commitment to animal rescue causes fueled Dr. Johnson's desire
to establish her own clinic. Since Riverbrook was established in 1998,
the clinic has served as a temporary safe house and conduit through which
rescued animals have found new homes with loving owners. In the first
two years alone more than 300 animals were placed. Apart from efforts
through her own facility, Dr. Johnson also contributes her time and resources
to other animal rescue groups.
Driven by her commitment to provide the best in contemporary veterinary
medicine,
Dr. Johnson believes in the importance of continuing education for herself
and her staff. As a practicing veterinarian she also recognizes the opportunity
she has to inform and instruct pet owners on the latest developments in
preventative health care and techniques in behavior modification and training.
She encourages anyoneparticularly new pet ownersto come to
her with questions or concerns. Dr. Johnson has also written about pet
care issues for area publications.
